Breda is our hometown, where we love to drink good coffee and have a bite! Although we love to visit other cities for discovering new foodspots, we do have some personal favourite Breda places.
Sip First
Positive vibes only at @sip.first! In Burgundian Breda we sometimes still find it difficult to have a special lunch. Sip First has changed this with what we think are the most pure and surprising dishes and one that should be on your list of foodspots Breda! The lunch menu is compact and new dishes are added regularly. Also many veggie choices, but all equally creative! They also serve the best coffee, which by the way is also available in other kinds (for example delicious cold brew). Don’t forget to take a cake from the showcase for dessert; these are freshly made and always contain slightly different ingredients, often in season (e.g. turmeric, pumpkin).
Puick
One of the best places for lunch: @puickbreda. Located in the city centre and with a cute interior, this place serves several lunch dishes with a diversity of flavours, especially Middle Eastern and Asian. We love it! They also offer a complete lunch surprise menu, so you can try all kinds of dishes. On Friday and Saturday nights you are also welcome for dinner (a tasting menu for sharing). Definitely don’t miss it!
Clique
Right in the middle of the center you’ll find @clique.breda, a cozy place for brunch, apero and bites! A menu that will suit everyone, from classic burgers & croquettes to burrata and avo toasts, all super delicious. They’ve also put a lot of thought into their wine list, it’s very good.

Kej Caban
Passionate couple Lisa and Hector really poured their hearts into every little detail. From the soft and welcoming interior with earthy tones to the handcrafted Mexican tableware, it’s the perfect setting for a cozy dinner. If you want to discover real Mexican flavours, this is your chance! Not your usual tex-mex classics but handmade corn tortillas, intense moles, beans & spices.
Bobbi’s bar
If you want to dine in a fancy (but not to expensive) restaurant, we recommend Bobbi’s Bar. It’s definitely one of the hotspots of Breda and the food is good and diverse. We love to come here with friends and share multiple dishes together. They offer enough vegetarian (and some vegan) options and their pornstar martini is the best of Breda!
Reparola
Another good choice for Italian food: @reparola_pasta_bar specialises in delicious fresh pastas. We especially enjoyed the beetroot pasta with figs and gorgonzola! The pasta is super soft and the gorgonzola melts by itself if you wait just a little bit.. The best dessert on the menu; the semifreddo!
Zuyd
If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, we highy reccomend @restaurantzuyd. The price/quality ratio at this restaurant is on point and the service is outstanding. The menu is inspired by French cuisine but with an Asian twist, which makes for modern and surprising dishes.
De jongens van zand en klei
It is the main goal of @dejongensvanzandenklei to ‘make the potato great again’, which means potatoes are used in all dishes, prepared in different ways. We always love their potato baskets! A crunchy huge potato chip filled with changing, seasonal fillings. No complicated menu, but real, pure dishes starring the potato. Also nice for lunch!

Sip First
@sip.first turns coffee making into true art! They not only serve very good cappuccinos and flat whites, but also make their own cold drip and other coffee specialties. We also love the little butter cake you get with your coffee! As mentioned, also a very good place for lunch.
Chatwick
@chatwickcoffee not only serves delicious coffees, but also happens to make the best pastry in Breda! So definitely combine these two for an absolute treat. The personale favorite of Lous: the latte macchiato, served in a beautiful wine glass!
Kamu
@kamubreda is a bikeshop and coffeespot. The coffee is really good, so everyone in Breda knows Kamu nowadays. It’s a slightly alternative place where you can also work remote.
Sowieso
In winter, we love to go to the cozy @koffiebarsowieso for a heartwarming coffee. We also love their ‘golden milk’, with turmeric, ginger and cinnamon.
