The reason we came especially to Tallinn is to be suprised by new flavors, new atmospheres and all the amazing food! Being here a few days made us realise that this is a place that every true foodie should visit sometime. Nice to know about in general is that eating in the best restaurants in Tallinn is very afordable, which made us visit all kinds of special places!
Mantel ja Korsten
@mantelkorsten is a slightly hidden Mediterranean inspired restaurant located in the cutest green wooden house that has a red roof and a mantel chimney. The menu is small and full of dishes we never had before. We started with an artichoke tartar with pickled mustard seeds and a mushroom gravy and fork trout with stracciatella, basil and a fermented tomato jus. It was amazing! Just so you know; they also have two more restaurants (with different concepts) in Tallinn, @kolmsibulat and @restoranmoon.
Vegan Restoran
Also on top of our list: @veganrestoran. We choose this small and cosy restaurant because of the amazing reviews and our curiosity for vegan food. Vegan or not, you should go here. Really. We had one of the best lasagnes ever and a homemade mushroom pâté that was to die for. Also try the vegan oreo cheesecake, yummy!
Clos Resto
@clos_resto is a very creative and inspiring restaurant. They are changing the menu often and the food always looks (and tastes) amazing! We also really loved the living room atmosphere.
Ulo
The staff of the super trendy @ulorestoran makes you feel right at home! Such a nice restaurant in the heart of Tallinn, serving a vegetarian menu with also some options for meat and fish lovers. A must go!

@rostpagar is a Scandinavian influenced little sourdough bakery with unbelievable bread & pastries. Situated in the cute #rotermannikvartal district and absolutely the best place to go in this neighborhood. Definitely also try the savoury pastries!
Katharinenthal
@katharinenthal is the classic cute bakery of your dreams. Beautiful situated near the #kadriorupark, a walk through the park makes the perfect combination. Order whatever ‘cause it will be good, but just don’t miss the filled croissant.
Varav
@varavcafe has to be the smallest #coffeeplace we have ever been to! This tiny white magical house offers three tables and also serves great breakfast and toasts. We felt right at home!
Fika Leib ja Kohv
@fikaleibjakohv definitely has one of the best coffees ánd special treats! The almond croissant we had was amazing. The special lattes are also recommended, loved the matcha one.
Kiosk no 1, no2 and no3
The cute little coffeeshops numbers 1, 2 and 3 from @kioskkohvik are so characteristic and (in our opinion) really represent the relaxed atmosphere in Tallinn. They also sell amazing savoury buns from @bekker_pagariari. The one with mushrooms was our favorite!
AO Coffeeshop
Down at one of the oldest streets in Tallinn you will find @oacoffeeshop, where you can also buy coffee and other delicacies for at home.
Loulou
At @loulou.tallinn we took a nice coffee in the morning when we got out of bed real early. This cosy place already opens at 08:00 on weekdays (07:00 in summer) and is situated in the same building as our hotel @cityboxtallinn. Perfect!

F-Hoone
The Telliskivi creative city (@loomelinnak) forms the beating heart of this district with theatre, music, street art and cafes! For lunch in this area we recommend @fhoone, located in a beautiful building. The menu has lots of veggy and vegan options.
Fotografiska
If you visit the modern photography museum @fotografiska (@fotografiska.tallinn), combine your visit with elevating food! Have a perfect brunch of lunch with local and concious products. They sometimes even give workshops regarding food!
Varav
@varavcafe – as mentioned before as a really nice place for coffee – also serves delicious breakfast and toasts. Loved the oatmeal bowl with fresh fruits!
You can always have breakfast with some nice fika, almost all of our coffee places also have very good pastry!
