We dare to call Antwerp our ‘second’ city, that’s how often we come here. It just never gets boring and there are so many restaurants to discover. Because we are so crazy about the food in Antwerp and keep a close eye on all new foodspots, this article is updated regularly and we make sure we recommend the best places in Antwerp!
Tannin
For the best natural wines in a laid-back atmosphere — paired with delicious bites and small plates. It’s always smart to book a table at @tannin_antwerp, but we’ve also been lucky just walking in after a day of shopping in Antwerp.
Perseau
A super classy wine bar with an incredible interior — cozy, moody, and serving top-quality wines by the glass. Perfect for a date night with your favorite person. They also host regular tastings, so check @perseau_antwerp for upcoming events.
Millésime
A sophisticated wine bar where passion for wine truly shines. With a strong focus on French wines, the impressive ‘wine bible’ of @millesime.antwerp has so much to explore. Founded by someone who spent over a decade building genuine friendships with winemakers.
Spiridon
One of our absolute favorites — a must-visit in Antwerp! @spiridon.antwerp feels slightly offbeat, with its warm brown decor and playful lighting. Choose your glass straight from the wall menu; we love their ever-changing wine selection and the tasty bites that come with it.
Titulus
@titulusantwerpen: another gem with a lovely terrace for summer days. Besides their great wine list, they also serve sake and interesting non-alcoholic options. It’s part shop too — so you can take your favorite bottle home right away!

Café Canelé
@cafecanele.antwerp; Café Canelé brings the essence of French patisserie to life with is signature canelé! This artisan pastry, known for its caramelized crust and soft, custard-like center, is such an amazing delicacy.
A fresh tart
@afreshtart_antwerp; Craving a bit of British charm? From flaky scones to traditional sponge cakes, this passionate baker crafts each item with care and precision.
Have a roll
@havearoll; these fluffy, gooey, perfectly spiced rolls are entirely vegan, maken them guilt-free for everyone! We’ve been a huge fan since the beginning of have a roll, these rolls will definitely be one of the best you’ve ever had.

If you’re into matcha, visit @kukai_matcha_studio. The very kind owner makes all kinds of delicious creations using proper matcha, but also has amazing baked goods! We loved the white chocolate & matcha cookie.
Bakkerij Funk
@bakkerijfunk: another plant-based bakery that doesn’t compromise on flavor or creativity. With a vast selection of pastries ranging from buttery croissants to decadent chocolate tarts, you’d never guess they’re entirely vegan. Don’t miss this one when in Antwerp!
Nordica 31
@nordica31; If you’re looking for a Scandinavian inspired bakery, Nordica 31 is the place to go. Their kanelbullar buns are amazing and it’s also a cozy eatery.
Lina’s Bakkerij
@linasbakkerij ; a charming, artisanal neighborhood bakery. We loved their rustic loaves as well as their delicate pastries. Definitely high-quality baked goods with a personal touch.

Bún
Amazing Vietnamese dishes infused with quality ingredients grown by Dutch and Belgium farmers, that’s what @bunbarrestaurant is all about! Serving fish, meat & vegetarian dishes, everyone will enjoy BÚN! Absolutely one of the best Asian restaurants we’ve been, and that’s a high praise for us.. Our personal favorites; the marinated tofu and the stir fried vegetables, WOW!
Titulus
@titulusantwerpen is a lovely natural wine bar with a sophisticated small menu with dishes to share. Their shop is full of bottles which you can buy and enjoy on their terrace or inside. We loved the way they cook with vegetables and how they make them soooo delicious! Titulus definitely belongs to our list of best restaurants in Antwerp.
Camionette
We mentioned @camion_antwerp for breakfast and lunch, but Camion also has an all natural restaurant & wine bar for lunch and dinner, @camion_ette! Camionette serves elegant plant based sharing dishes but is also a wine bare where you can just walk in. They change the menu regularly. Coming up with so many new splashy vegan dishes requires a lot of creativity and knowledge of products.
Finch
What do you get when you combine the sophistication of the Asian cuisine with the powerful flavors of the Middle East? @finch_antwerp! A place where you can order labneh and padron peppers as well as ceviche and okonomiyaki, we are in love! All dishes are great to share and vegetables can be found in every dish. There are also some dishes with meat, so you can take everyone to Finch!
Humm
@Humm_antwerp is a plant based Middle Eastern restaurant serving lots of veggies and making them delicious using lots of herbs! We absolutely love the place, there’s a great vibe and the staff is very friendly. The dishes are diverse, spicy, colorful and beautifully presented (very good for sharing)! To go with it they serve organic beers, wines, cocktails and mocktails – also a very good option to go for an afternoon drink!
And/Or
Although @andorantwerp is fully plant-based, this restaurant is a true recommendation for everyone. Chef @karen.shu from New York decided to start this restaurant in Antwerp and wow, how she surprises! The food is bursting with flavour, colour and different textures. The open kitchen with a big chef’s table makes for a true experience. She also put a lot of thought into a good wine list.
Boker Tov
As true lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine, we are happy @bokertov_antwerp has three locations in Antwerp! Boker Tov has a Telavivian cuisine and knows how to make falafel sexy… all their dishes are delicious and great to share! We also love their labneh, fresh warm pitas and all the things they do with eggplant. Really good comfort food for a good price. Nice to know; they also launched their own cookbook.
Dabba King
An easy but amazing go-to South Indian restaurant that also serves natural wines. At @dabba_king, you can order your favourite Indian dishes like curry’s, but can also try something new! We loved the ‘dosa’s’; a savoury pancake with all kinds of fillings; warm, crunchy and full of flavour. Definitely the best Indian food we had in Antwerp! No reservations, just walk-in.

Tinsel
At @tinsel_antwerp they know how to combine healthy & delicious! Serving breakfast and lunch all day, Tinsel is always a good option. You can’t make a reservation, so go early to have a nice spot. We had to wait for a bit, but were served coffee outside by the friendly staff. The Tinsel bowl with fried black rice and pickled vegetables and the creamy croque with pulled mushrooms was definitely worth the wait!
La Senda
Brand new in Antwerp — born from the idea of three sisters from El Salvador, together with their mother, honouring their roots through @lasenda.antwerp. A fresh, vibrant spot where you can taste the best of El Salvador: from classic pupusas (filled corn tortillas) to enchiladas and homemade horchata. Everything is made from scratch — and absolutely delicious!
Mico and Jon
The amazing cuisine of @mico_and_jon will make you smile! Serving progressive Asian food with matching pastries and special sakes, this restaurant is definitely a unique spot for lunch. We’ve had the most amazing soup dumplings (made from scratch) and puff pastry with black sesame crème. The owners Mico & Jon are so full of inspiration that the menu changes regularly. Our sake recommendation: @yoigokochi yuzu-sake, the ultimate balance between sweet and sour. Summer in a glass, try it! They are also open for dinner on thursday, friday and saturday.
Butchers Coffee
In the retro joint of @butcherscoffee you are sure to have great coffee (beans by @andyroasters, love it!) and food. We had an amazing vegan power bun with cauliflower and the most delicious Turkish eggs ever. Still figuring out how to get the taste of that yoghurt and spiced beurre noisette… unbelievable!
Mr. Pickles
@mr.pickles.antwerp is a specialty coffeeshop that also serves very good lunch, breakfast and aperitivo! As the name suggests, a lot of pickled veggies and fermented products are used in the dishes. We had this juicy sandwich with mushrooms and miso & some fresh breadsticks with muhammara and humus. Choose one of the natural wines to go with it and enjoy!
Camion Antwerp
Playful, low key and plant based, that is @camion.coffee! This restaurant for breakfast & lunch has a concept of ‘plant-based in a casual way’ and with success! You don’t even realize you’re eating vegan, that’s how good and strong the flavor combinations are. We absolutely love the seasonal dishes and signature toasts. Open Wednesday to Saturday from 8 to 4 pm. Camionette (@camionette.finedining) is their more fine dining restaurant and wine bar for the evening!

A lovely Dutch couple started @littlehavana.cafe, a very nice specialty coffee bar towards the south of Antwerp. They have a big group of regular costumers and rightly so! Very good coffee and if you fancy a chai latte, we also really recommend it.
