Mérida: the cultural and especially culinary capital of Yucatán! A city that, in our opinion, sometimes has a European feel to it and where it is very cozy. From local bars to trendy rooftops and a beautiful boulevard with stores and markets. Mérida is definitely worth a visit! We were there for two days and think that’s perfect to discover the city. Our food tips Mérida;
Micaela Mar y Lena
At @micaelamarylena we had one of the most delicious dishes of our trip; a black risotto with lemon aioli. AMAZING! As well as the other dishes. Reservations are recommended! Definitely one of the best food Mérida has to offer!
El Barrio
@elbarriomid is a great spot for breakfast and brunch! They work with as many local products as possible and the bechamel sauce they use a lot is worth a mention in itself.
Justo Bread Studio
@justo.bread.studio has two locations and, as the name suggests, makes amazing bread! Also recommended: the cinnamon roll and the coffees.
Catrin
For great Mexican food go to @catrinmid. Also great cocktails and a cool garden with art and music!
Soco
For special pastry go to @socomerida. The picture speaks for itself! Always special things in the moods of the season.
Petit Delice
At @petitdelicemx they bring a little of France to Mexico! Amazing pastries and baked goods.
