Isla Holbox; the cozy and super laid back island (half an hour by boat from the mainland) where you can have a chat with everyone you meet! You just have to experience the atmosphere here for yourself, but hippy-like describes it best for us. Isla Holbox is upcoming, which often means that more and more foodspots are added! God, we had delicious meals here! Here, right by the sea, you can of course enjoy fresh fish, but there is so much more! Ready for our foodspots Isla Holbox? Let’s go!

Painapol
When we got off the boat we were hungry and went straight to @painapol_mx, where they make amazing smoothies and smoothie bowls for you. The place is super cozy! The fresh focaccia is also a must.

Roots Pizza
When we eat pizza, we are critical and it has to be really great pizza. @rootspizzaholbox takes good pizza seriously and surprised us with the airy dough and delicious cheese. And they come out of a pizza oven!

Clandestino
@clandestino_cafe has (for us) without a doubt the best coffee on the island; both cold and hot. Also, the fresh smoothie bowls are really pretty! They have two locations on the island.

Salma
If you want a fancy dinner in a beautiful and exclusive restaurant, go to @salmaholbox. As far as we are concerned, you really can’t miss this one. Enjoy special dishes and great cocktails in a really cool place. If you stay longer you can drink and dance at the bar!

Zomay
The most beautiful spot to watch the sunset while enjoying an ice cold corona beer is at @zomayholbox (‘El Chiringuito Bar’). Just keep going left when you get on the beach, you won’t miss the cute little white chairs.

And don’t forget to grab a fresh coconut on the beach at one of the few stands. They are big and full of coconut milk!

We really enjoyed our stay at @hotelparatiholbox. Romantic and close to the beach.
