Nusa Lembongan is mostly known for turquoise water, dramatic cliffs and its much slower pace compared to mainland Bali, but there are some lovely places to eat in between exploring the island. The food scene is small, yet we found everything from tropical garden restaurants and plant-based lunches to specialty coffee and beautiful ocean views. These are the places that stood out most during our time on Nusa Lembongan.
Best Restaurants in Nusa Lembongan
Kayu
Kayu was our favourite food find on Nusa Lembongan — so much so that we ended up visiting twice. Hidden inside a lush tropical garden, the restaurant serves fresh, colourful dishes that feel perfectly suited to island life. Nothing is overly complicated, but there is plenty of flavour and the quality is excellent for the price. One of those easygoing places we would immediately return to.
Ginger & Jamu
Ginger & Jamu combines a mostly plant-based menu with one of the nicest settings on the island: directly beside the beach. Fresh tacos, colourful bowls and plenty of vegetable-led dishes make it a particularly good option for a relaxed lunch. We loved how easily the food and setting fitted together — healthy and casual without feeling like another generic Bali wellness café.

The Deck
The Deck is one of those places where the location does most of the convincing. Built into the hillside overlooking Jungut Batu Beach, it has beautiful views across the water and is an easy stop for a smoothie, coffee or afternoon drink. We came for something fresh and ended up staying for the scenery. A lovely place to slow down for a while between exploring the island.
Mushroom Espresso
Mushroom Espresso was our best coffee find on Nusa Lembongan. This small café near Mushroom Bay keeps things simple, with proper coffee at the heart of the concept and house blends roasted locally in Bali. The space itself is cute and relaxed, making it an easy morning stop before heading around the island. Definitely one to save if good coffee remains a priority even on island days.
