We’ve visited Paris multiple times, but our last trip to this romantic city was the best! The city really surprised us in a positive way. A good atmosphere, clean and very kind people. These tips will make your day in Paris even more enjoyable. From the best pastry in Paris to top-tier coffeespots, we’ve got it all listed up for you.
Croissants, madeleines, choux, viennoiserie.. if there’s one place to go crazy on pastry, it’s PARIS. In the city with bakeries and pastry shops on every corner, we recommend you to visit our carefully selected top picks!
Sadaharu Oaki
@sadaharuaoki_official (by @sadaharu_aoki) brings a little bit of Japan to Paris and their refined pastries are stunning. What’s more Paris & Japan than a matcha croissant?!
Choux Odette
@chouxodette makes the most perfect little choux with all kinds of fillings. They are the perfect size to be able to try out different flavours.
Mori Yoshida
@moriyoshidaofficiel next level perfection and very original pastries and tarts. Especially loved the ‘beige’ – an elegant chocolate pastry filled with praliné, orange ganache and a fluffy filling of earl grey tea and lime. Not so sweet, awesome combination of flavours.
Chocolat Chapon
We had to try out the fresh chocolate mousse at @chocolatchapon. Worth the hype? Definitely YES! Freshly scooped and so rich, and yet not too heavy.
Maison Aleph
@maisonaleph is inspired by Levantine and Mediterranean flavours and their pastries are so pretty! So much eye for detail, it feels truly luxurious to eat such a little piece of art.
Leonie
@leoniebakeryparis is a laidback bakery with delicious brioche and almond croissants, but also very good savory sandwiches
Le Comptoir de Madeleine
Freshly baked in house every day; the madeleines from @lecomptoirdemadeleine. Also seasonal specials, like the one we had with a pistachio filling.
Union
@union_boulangerie we’ve had the best Paris-Brest we even tasted. Crunchy yet fluffy, with a hazelnutty filling. But honestly, everything in the display looked delicious!
Ritz
@ritzparislecomptoir; known for it’s exclusive (and expensive) pastries, but definitely worth it if you want to spoil yourself. It will be one of the most beautiful pastry shops you’ll ever visit.

While it’s obviously not hard to find a coffeespot in Paris, you can take it from us that THESE are the real gems you’ll want to make a special detour for. Or not, they may also be right on your way! For coffee 10/10; visit these spots.
Liperli
@liperli.coffee; where you can even choose the quality of your coffee bean, like the ‘grand cru’. Also don’t skip their signature chocolate milk; it’s spicy, sweet and just amazing.
Coeur
@coeurcoffee.paris; French roasting champion in 2023 and although its located in Montmartre, we had the feeling there were mainly locals sitting here, always a good sign!
Bel Horizon
@belhorizon.coffee; an absolutely outstanding coffee shop that can’t be missed if you’re a true coffee lover. Choose for a v60 and traditional flat white and both amazing (and super nice cups)
The beans on fire
@thebeansonfire; perfectly located near Montmartre and (+ another location) and a perfectly, well balanced, warm flat white
Lactem
@lactemcafe; a super small and cozy coffee spot with 2 locations & delicious cookies. Loved the bamboo cups they’re using!
Blondie
@blondiecoffeeshop; at the moment we came here, there was a huge group of runners coming for their coffee fix, but it was worth the wait!
Torre
@torrecoffeeshop.paris; a brand new coffee shop in the 9th arrondissement, using beans from Ethiopia till Brazil. A small & lovely venue.

228 Litres
@228litres; where can you find a place with over 500 different wines & very delicious food? A wine bar with a seriously good kitchen, which is quite unique. Also a chance to try out (affordable) champagne 🍾
Pluto
@pluto.paris is located in the beautiful, industrial venue of @lafayetteanticipations, where you can indulge in the fantastic creations of chef @thomas__coupeau. LOVED the potato bun with battered mushrooms, so good 🫠
Kubri
@kubriparis made us the best cabbage we’ve ever had, every dish they make is enriched with the most delicious sauces & toppings. A must go if you’re into Middle Eastern food! Also loved the service & attention from the staff.
General tip; don’t forget to make a reservation!

Café Singuliers
@cafe.singuliers; loved among locals & perfect for breakfast and lunch. Think fresh pastas, bread, Asian dishes, eggs & sweet treats. Also named one of the best cookies in town!
Maslow
For everyone having difficulty choosing; have lunch at @maslow_restaurants. Three small dishes and a drink for a fixed price. We recommend to make a reservation, but you can also get a spot if you wait for a bit.
La Sabicherie
@lasabicherie will bring you the most indulging and fullest pita you’ve ever had! They stuff it up with fillings of your choice, like fried eggplant, fresh herbs, egg, onion, tahini, potatoes.. you’ll be sure you’re not to be hungry for a while!
Atelier des Lumieres
@atelierdeslumieres brings famous artists to life with lighting, colours and music. We loved the Picasso exhibition, we easily spent over an hour at this place.
Agence Soif
For an apéro moment in a tranquil place we recommend @agencesoif – a glass of natural wine freshly tapped accompanied by some local cheese
Marché des Enfants Rouge
The marché des Enfants Rouge (Rue de Bretagne 39) is a qualify food market with cute places to eat. It’s the oldest food market in Paris (1615!) and is full of delis and different cuisines.
