In our search for the best food in Barcelona, Ed challenged himself to find the best spots for coffee, dinner, breakfast and lunch. This city has everything to offer – from traditional Spanish delicacies to trendy vegan food, we LOVE it!
Nomad
Definitely on top of our list and not to be missed; @nomadcoffee. Nomad offers you different kinds of coffee beans to choose from, each with its own flavour en character. They’ve been roasted in #Poblenou
Slow Mov
@slow.mov is also a great place for amazing coffee. They also roast their own coffee beans and the baristas are very passionate; credits to their beautiful latte art!
Roast club
The cute red joint of @roastclubcafe and the welcoming staff makes you feel right at home! We really recommend the cold drip, fresh from the bottle.
Casa Bonay
The cultural and culinary oasis of @casabonay also has a cute retro coffee shop. They offer all kinds of specialty coffees, we enjoyed a perfect cortado.
Hidden
With three branches in Barcelona, you can always grab a coffee at @hiddencoffeeroasters. A no nonsense, high quality coffee spot using their own coffee beans roasted in Barcelona.
Blackbird
The @blackbird.coffeecorner is such a cute place to get your coffee fix when you’re near the #sagradafamilia. They also offer several home made goodies to go with it.
Skye
Located in Poblenou but unfortunately closed when we got there; @skyecoffeeco, serving coffee from a van! Would’ve also loved to try out their toasted banana bread – maybe you can do that for us?

As you have come to expect from us; four totally different options for dinner! Treat yourself in Barcelona with our tips.
Fat Veggies
Whether you’re vegetarian or not, you have to go to @fat.veggies if you’re in for something special. Fat Veggies is the only vegetarian smoke restaurant in the world – and they totally live up to the expectations. Exploding, smokey and creative dishes are on the menu. Be sure to try their signature dish – cauliflower in three ways with white chocolate sauce, amazing! Even the desserts have a smokey touch, like the crema Catalana with miso and smoked apples. Save for your next trip and thank us later! This is by far the best food in Barcelona, don’t miss it!
Benzina
Italian in an innovative way, that’s what you’ll find at @benzinabcn. No standard pizza and pasta, but refreshing dishes such as confit aubergine with ice cream of parmesan and smoked burrata with onion foam. You’ll find this retro restaurant in the area of Barri de Sant Antoni, one of Barcelona’s culinary hotspots. Nice to know is they also opened a new concept; @doppiettabcn, focusing on Italian bites and small dishes. Extra tip; before having dinner at Benzina, we went to winebar @garagebarbcn. Very close by and good natural wines!
Teatro
@teatrokitchenbar opened in 2022 and focuses on fine dining tapas – from classic dishes to the most avant-garde. This theatre themed restaurant with matching interior turns fine dining into fun dining. This is the perfect place for sharing tapas at the highest level. Every dish was SO delicious! We absolutely loved the creative fingerfood and almost ordered them all. Especially loved the pumpkin & chipotle toast and the ‘macadamia nut cloud’. Each tapa is like a little work of art and is served up beautifully.
Nice to know; Teatro is located in the former restaurant of ‘Tickets’, from the famous brothers of El Bulli.

Jon Cake
Definitely on top of this list; @joncake.es. The most amazing cheesecake shop we have ever been! This is what you call REAL cheesecake. Good to know; they also recently opened Jon Cake & Wines, to enjoy cheesecake with a good glass of wine. What more could you want?
Bungnuts
Get a fluffy, vegan donut at @bungnuts! Filled or topped with delicious sweet toppings; you won’t even taste they’re vegan. Loved the one with pistachio.
OZ Bakery
You’ll find @ozbakerybcn in the classy area of #santgervarsi. We got ourselves an amazing orange cake and their signature milk brioche and enjoyed it in Parc del Turó
Amma gelato
On the cozy square of Virreina there’s vegan ice cream shop @ammagelato. Artisanal, creative flavors with all natural ingredients. Lovin’ it!
Pa de Kilo
@pa.de.kilo is an amazing bakery with outstanding bread and very good pastries. We’ve had a slice of their bread with our breakfast at @littleferncafe – just perfect.
Le Pain d’Eric & Benjamin
If you’re looking for a crunchy baguette, @lepaindericbenjamin is the place to go! Also selling other ecological delicacies.🤍
Pasté
Unfortunately @pastebcn was closed when we got there, but we’re sure this pastry shop (also baking for restaurants!) has amazing cakes.

⋆ Brunch – After visiting the @mocomuseum in Barcelona, we went for a truly good brunch at @borobarbcn. BORO Bar is right up our alley; comfort food and lots of diversity for a very reasonable price. The menu offers amazing tapas, sandwiches and sweet dishes. Their signature patatas bravas are not to be missed – they’re the best we’ve ever had! Good to know; BORO Bar is also open for dinner! So you can come in any time of day to enjoy their yummy dishes.
⋆ Breakfast – already famous but rightly so; @honestgreens! With three branches in Barcelona, breakfast here is always an option. In Poblenou we recommend @littleferncafe; making very generous, healthy (breakfast) dishes and the bread from @pa.de.kilo is to die for!
⋆ Food festival – if you happen to be in Barcelona the first weekend of the month; go to @palomarketfest! This atmospheric outdoor fest is all about food, good cocktails and music. We’ve had amazing home made blue corn taco’s from @laantiguademexico and lotssss of aperol.
⋆ Park – Barcelona is full of green, cosy parks and paths where you can take pleasant walks. We liked #parcdelaciutadella and #parqueguell the most. Visit park Güell early in the morning to enjoy it without too many tourists!
⋆ (Street) art – If you are interested in street art in addition to, of course, all of Gaudí’s beauty, you should head to the #elgotic, #poblenou and #poblesec districts. If you want to see as much as possible, take a walk on Sundays, when the street art on the closed shopfronts can also be seen. We also loved the modern art of the @mocomuseum.
